Pleasant Green

Pleasant Green, also known as the Andrews-Chesnutt House, is a historic home located near Pilot Grove, Missouri, built around 1825. This Classic Revival style brick dwelling features a striking front portico with six columns and includes a two-story wood-frame addition. The property also boasts a smokehouse, a slave structure, and a hexagonal wood-frame barn dating back to 1900. Notably, it was the residence of journalist Stanley Andrews, who lived from 1894 to 1994. Pleasant Green was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
