St. Johns Bridge and Cathedral Park - 1931 suspension bridge and park beneath it

The St. Johns Bridge, completed in 1931, is a steel suspension bridge notable for its Gothic-style towers and for connecting the St. Johns neighborhood to Northwest Portland. Cathedral Park occupies the north shore beneath the bridge and preserves the exposed bridge substructure as a defining feature of the park. The bridge is one of Portland's historic river crossings and remains in vehicular use.
