Ernest Tubb Record Shop and the Midnight Jamboree

The Ernest Tubb Record Shop at 417 Broadway has operated as a country-music record store and venue in downtown Nashville for decades. Beginning in 1947, Ernest Tubb's 'Midnight Jamboree' radio program broadcast live from the shop and is frequently cited as the second-longest-running country-music radio show after the Grand Ole Opry. The shop's location on Broadway made it a regular gathering spot for country artists and fans and it remains a noted historic site in Nashville's music history.
