Mission San José (Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo)

Mission San José, founded in the 18th century and often called the "Queen of the Missions," is noted for its large stone church, ornate carved Rose Window, and extensive convento and plaza complex. It is the largest of the San Antonio missions and retains substantial original 18th-century masonry and reconstructed mission buildings. The mission is part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site designation for the San Antonio Missions in 2015.
