Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort

The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort was established by Mormon missionaries in 1855 as part of Brigham Young–led colonizing efforts and is the oldest surviving building in Las Vegas. The adobe structure and associated exhibits interpret early settlement, irrigation attempts, and 19th‑century life in the Las Vegas Valley. The site is preserved and operated as the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park in downtown Las Vegas.
