The Ritz Theatre & Museum (Carver Theatre)

Originally opened in 1929 as the Carver Theatre, the building served as the principal entertainment venue for Jacksonville's African American community during segregation and hosted live musical performances and touring entertainers. The theatre later closed, was rehabilitated, and reopened as the Ritz Theatre & Museum focusing on performing arts and African American cultural history. The venue remains part of Jacksonville's documented music and cultural heritage.
