Old Stone House - Washington’s Oldest Unchanged Building

The Old Stone House in Georgetown was built in 1765 and is the oldest unchanged building in Washington, D.C.; its original masonry structure and footprint have been preserved. The house is owned and operated by the National Park Service and interprets 18th-century domestic life in Georgetown. It is located amid later 19th- and 20th-century development on M Street.
