George W. Mallett House

The George W. Mallett House, located in Princeton, Arkansas, is a historic structure built around 1853 by one of the area's first settlers. As one of only three surviving pre-Civil War houses in Dallas County and the sole example in Princeton, it offers a glimpse into the architectural history of the region. Originally designed as a dog trot, the house underwent modifications in the early 20th century, resulting in its current central hall appearance. Notable features include a hip roof, a gable addition, and a shed-roof porch with chamfered posts. The house was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
