John G. Coburn Farm

The John G. Coburn Farm, located in Carthage, Maine, is a historic farmstead featuring a distinctive two-story brick farmhouse built in 1824, the only brick structure in the Webb River valley. The property spans 29 acres and includes two English barns, one dating back to the early 19th century. The farmhouse showcases a blend of late Federal and early Greek Revival architectural styles, with notable features such as a cross gable and stained-glass windows. Originally established by Oliver Newman, the farm has a rich history of family ownership and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Maine's agricultural heritage.
