Bride's Hill

Bride's Hill, also known as Sunnybrook, is a historic plantation house located near Wheeler, Alabama. Built by a member of the Dandridge family, relatives of Martha Washington, this Tidewater-type cottage showcases unique architectural features such as prominent end chimneys and a cantilevered chimney pent. The house, which has been unoccupied since the 1980s, is recognized for its historical significance, having been added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1985 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Visitors to the area can appreciate its rich history and distinctive architectural style, although it currently stands in a state of disrepair.
