Stork Tower

The Stork Tower, or Guanque Tower, is an ancient monument located in Puzhou Town, Yongji, Shanxi, China. Built during the Northern Zhou dynasty, it gained fame in the Tang dynasty due to the renowned poem 'On the Stork Tower' by poet Wang Zhihuan. This tower is one of the Four Great Towers of China and has a rich history, serving as a military lookout and a symbol of longing for family. Despite its destruction over the centuries, efforts to rebuild it in the 1990s highlight its cultural significance. Visitors can explore the remnants of Puzhou ancient city and enjoy the scenic views of the Yellow River from this historic site.
