Museum of Fine Arts, Boston - extensive permanent collection

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) houses a permanent collection of approximately 450,000 works spanning ancient to contemporary art, making it one of the largest art museums in the United States. Its holdings include significant collections of American art, Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, Egyptian artifacts, and Asian art. The MFA regularly rotates works from its collection in numerous permanent and temporary galleries across its Huntington Avenue campus.
