Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (historic downtown theater)

Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall opened in 1928 as the Paramount Theatre and was later renamed for patron Arlene Schnitzer; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hall is a major performing-arts venue in downtown Portland, hosting touring Broadway productions, concerts, and presentations by local organizations including Oregon Ballet Theatre and Portland Opera. Its restored atmospheric interior and marquee are widely recognized elements of Portland's performing-arts culture.
