Sultan Mahmut Fountain

The Sultan Mahmut Fountain is a historical public fountain located in the Kireçburnu neighborhood of Sarıyer, Istanbul, Turkey. Commissioned by Ottoman Sultan Mahmut II in 1814, this ornate fountain features a marble slab and an inscription that includes the sultan's tughra, crafted by Yesarizade Mustafa Izzet Efendi. Although currently out of use, the fountain stands as a testament to the architectural and cultural heritage of the Ottoman Empire, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
