Orient Manufacturing Company-Chadwick-Hoskins No. 3

The Orient Manufacturing Company-Chadwick-Hoskins No. 3, also known as Alpha-Orient Cotton Mill, is a historic cotton mill located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Constructed between 1901 and 1902, this two-story brick building showcases Romanesque Revival architecture and includes elements from an earlier mill built around 1889. Notable features include a low front gable roof, exposed rafters, and segmental arched windows, along with a striking three-story staircase tower. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 and has since been transformed into the Alpha Mill Apartments, making it a unique blend of history and modern living.
