Mangrove Tower

The Mangrove Tower was a visionary skyscraper proposed for San Juan, Puerto Rico, designed to be the tallest building in the Caribbean at 206.5 meters (677 ft). Inspired by the local mangrove trees, the design featured four twisting towers that would create a unique architectural silhouette, incorporating vegetation and water features to enhance its natural theme. The mixed-use development aimed to include apartments, businesses, public spaces, and a hotel, with convenient access to public transportation. Although the project was never realized, it represented an ambitious step towards modern urban development in Puerto Rico, and the site is now occupied by the Trocadero Diverplex, a hub for commercial and entertainment activities.
