Sulphur Dell - Nashville Vols final seasons and 1963 closure

Sulphur Dell was Nashville's primary professional baseball park for many decades and served as the longtime home of the minor-league Nashville Vols. The Vols played at Sulphur Dell through the 1963 season; the franchise and the ballpark ceased regular operations that year. The site was notable for its sloped outfield and distinctive playing conditions, and the downtown location was later redeveloped and became the site of the modern First Horizon Park.
