Luxor Sky Beam

The Luxor Hotel & Casino's Sky Beam projects straight up from the apex of its pyramid and is produced by 39 xenon lamps. Activated when the hotel opened, it is considered one of the strongest manmade beams of light and is visible from many miles away on clear nights. The beam is turned on nightly as part of the hotel's exterior lighting system.
