San Diego State University Department of Anthropology - regional archaeological research on the Kumeyaay and La Jolla complex

San Diego State University's Department of Anthropology has conducted archaeological fieldwork, analysis, and publications on prehistoric and historic sites in the San Diego region, including research on the La Jolla complex and Kumeyaay-associated sites. Faculty and students from SDSU have collaborated with tribal representatives on research, cultural resource management, and public outreach. The department houses research collections and archives used in studies of regional Indigenous history.
