184 38th Street, also known as McBride Log House, was a historic log home in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, dating back to the 1820s. It was considered the oldest log house in any major American city used as a residence until its demolition in 2011. Built by Henry McBride, the house witnessed significant events, including the tragic death of a young girl during the Civil War. Despite efforts by historical groups to restore it, the building fell into disrepair and was ultimately demolished by a real estate developer.
