Knights of Pythias Building (Virginia City, Nevada)

The Knights of Pythias Building, constructed in 1876, is a historic lodge hall in Virginia City, Nevada, notable for its cast iron and stuccoed brick architecture. It served as a meeting place for the Knights of Pythias, a fraternal organization, and is one of the few unaltered false-fronted buildings in the area. The building is part of the Virginia City Historic District, a National Historic Landmark since 1961, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. Visitors can explore its historical significance and architectural features, with the upper floor originally serving as the lodge hall and the first floor rented out, including a space known as The Armory.
