USDA South Building controlled-access offices

The U.S. Department of Agriculture South Building at 1400 Independence Avenue SW houses numerous USDA program and administrative offices. As an active federal office complex, many internal offices, records rooms, and operational areas are restricted to employees and authorized visitors; public entry is limited and subject to security protocols. USDA also maintains controlled-access areas for inspection, research, and program records within the complex.
