Templo del Maestro

Templo del Maestro, or 'Temple of the Teacher', is a historic Beaux Arts building in Puerto Rico, constructed in 1937. Originally the headquarters of the Puerto Rico Teachers Association, it features a unique blend of Classical Revival architecture with Moorish and Mughal influences. Located in the culturally rich Puerta de Tierra district, it is near significant landmarks like the Puerto Rico National Library and El Capitolio. The building has a storied past, serving various functions including a recreational facility for the U.S. military during World War II. Although currently abandoned and in decay, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
