Vuyich's House

Vuyich's House, located in Pushkin, Saint Petersburg, Russia, is a culturally and historically significant building constructed in the 1880s. Originally part of a garden belonging to Ludwig-Wilhelm Tepper de Ferguson, it was designed by architect A. F. Vidov for state counsellor Vasily Ivanovich Vuyich. The house has a rich literary history, having been home to writer Aleksey Tolstoy from 1930 to 1938, during which he created notable works including 'Peter the First'. After serving various purposes, including a House of Creativity for writers and a newspaper office during WWII, the building fell into disrepair but was later restored and recognized as an architectural monument. Its charming wooden structure features a stone basement, ornate balconies, and decorative elements, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
