Queens Wharf

Queens Wharf is a vibrant multi-purpose venue located in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Featuring a cafe, pub, restaurant, and ferry wharf, it was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in May 1988 as part of the Hunter River foreshore redevelopment. The project, envisioned by Joy Cummings, Newcastle's first female Lord Mayor, celebrated Australia's Bicentennial. Although the iconic Queens Wharf Tower was demolished in 2018 due to high maintenance costs, the area remains a popular destination, accessible via Newcastle Transport's Stockton ferry service and the Newcastle Light Rail.
