Jubilee Hall at Fisk University

Jubilee Hall at Fisk University is one of the earliest permanent academic buildings constructed for the higher education of African Americans, completed in 1876. It originally housed classrooms, dormitories, and institutional offices and played a central role in Fisk’s post–Civil War development. Jubilee Hall was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1974 and remains on Fisk’s original Nashville campus.
