Samuel Wheat House

The Samuel Wheat House, located at 399 Waltham Street in Newton, Massachusetts, is a historic timber-frame residence dating back to around 1735. This 2+1⁄2-story house features a distinctive gambrel roof and elegant clapboard siding, with a front entrance adorned by pilasters and a gabled pediment. As one of the oldest structures in the city, it reflects the architectural style of its time, although the dormers were added in the 19th century.
