Grand Hotel Union

The Grand Hotel Union is a historic four-star hotel located near Prešeren Square in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Constructed between 1903 and 1905, it was the city's first modern hotel and, for a time, its largest building. Designed by architect Josip Vancaš in the Vienna Secession style, the hotel features a striking façade nearly 100 meters long and a complex iron roof structure that was innovative for its time. The hotel has undergone two redecorations since its opening but maintains its original charm. Visitors can enjoy the Café Union located on the ground floor, making it a perfect spot for tourists and researchers alike.
