The Unicorn Tapestries at The Met Cloisters

The Unicorn Tapestries are a celebrated series of seven late-medieval tapestries (often called The Hunt of the Unicorn) installed in the galleries of The Met Cloisters. The set is displayed as a cohesive, site-specific installation that recreates the scale and viewing context of the original medieval hangings. The tapestries are among the museum’s best-known holdings and are presented with interpretive labels and climate control to preserve the textiles.
