Pewabic Pottery

Pewabic Pottery was founded in 1903 by Mary Chase Perry Stratton and Horace J. Caulkins and remains an active ceramic studio and school. The pottery is known for its iridescent glazes and for producing architectural tiles used in Detroit landmarks and across the U.S. The Pewabic facility operates a gallery and offers tours, classes, and commissions for restoration and new work.
