Bretton Hall (Manhattan)

Bretton Hall is a historic twelve-story residential building located at 2350 Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. Originally opened in 1903 as the Hotel Bretton Hall, it was once the largest hotel uptown and features Beaux Arts architecture. Designed by architect Harry B. Mulliken, the building boasts 461 rental apartments and unique architectural elements such as ornamental balconies and a stainless steel marquee. In the early 1980s, it became a haven for artists, offering lower rents in exchange for cultural activities. Today, it stands as a notable landmark near the Riverside-West End Historic District, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
