San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin

San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin is a Jodo Shinshu (Buddhist) temple located in San Jose's Japantown. The temple building contains a main altar (butsudan) used for regular worship, memorial services, and ritual observances. The Betsuin organizes community events including an annual Obon (Bon Odori) festival that draws participants from across the region. The temple has served the local Japanese American Buddhist community for over a century.
