Agricultural Heating Station

The Agricultural Heating Station, also known as the Agricultural Bulletin Building, is a historic structure located on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, built in 1901. Designed by architect John T. Jennings in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, it features distinctive architectural elements such as an asymmetric chimney and round-topped arches. Initially serving as a heating plant, it provided heat for only a decade before transitioning to a storage and distribution center for agricultural publications. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, this building reflects the early commitment of the UW's College of Agriculture to research and outreach, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in agricultural history and architecture.
