Burton Barr Central Library

Burton Barr Central Library is the flagship branch of the Phoenix Public Library system, opening in 1995 and designed by architect Will Bruder. The building is noted for its five-story atrium topped by a distinctive glass ‘crystal’ skylight and for its contemporary architectural character within downtown Phoenix. The library contains specialized collections such as the Arizona Room for local history and genealogy and serves as the city's primary public research and lending library.
