Guild Inn

The Guild Inn, located in the Guildwood neighbourhood of Scarborough, Toronto, was once a vibrant artist colony and historic hotel. Surrounded by the picturesque Guild Park and Gardens, it features a unique sculpture garden showcasing architectural remnants from demolished buildings in downtown Toronto. Originally established in 1914, the property evolved into a hub for artists under the stewardship of the Clarks, who fostered creativity and collected architectural pieces. After various transformations, including its use as a military base during WWII, the Guild Inn became a popular lakeside resort. Although it faced challenges in the 2000s leading to its closure, the park remains open, offering stunning views of Lake Ontario and a rich cultural experience for visitors.
