Bourse (Gothenburg)

The Bourse, or Börsen, is a historic municipal building in Gothenburg, Sweden, located on Gustaf Adolf Square. Designed by architect Pehr Johan Ekman in the Neoclassical style, it opened in 1849 as a mercantile exchange and has served as the meeting place for the Gothenburg Municipal Council since 1863. Originally built on the site of the Kaulbarska House, the Bourse reflects the city's rich trading history and architectural heritage. A recent renovation completed in 2019 has revitalized the area, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
