USS Midway Museum (former aircraft carrier CV-41)

USS Midway (CV-41) is an aircraft carrier commissioned in 1945 and decommissioned in 1992 after decades of service. The ship was converted into a museum ship and opened to the public at Navy Pier in downtown San Diego in 2004, where it remains a large example of mid-20th-century naval infrastructure and shipbuilding. The museum preserves carrier spaces, aircraft, and exhibits documenting naval aviation history.
