Detroit Opera House

The Detroit Opera House opened in 1922 as the Capitol Theatre and, after restoration, reopened in 1996 as a major performing-arts venue. It is the home of the Michigan Opera Theatre and seats approximately 2,700 people. The theater hosts opera, Broadway touring productions, concerts, and community events as a centerpiece of the Grand Circus Park arts district.
