Old College Hill Post Office

The Old College Hill Post Office, located in the historic College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a former commercial building constructed in the 1840s. Originally serving a small college town, it has undergone significant alterations but retains enough of its original character to be recognized as a historic site since the 1970s. The post office was established in 1837 and has a rich history tied to the development of the community, which flourished after the arrival of railroads in the mid-19th century. The building features distinctive architectural elements, including a rectangular shape, a two-story front porch, and weatherboarded walls. Although it ceased postal operations in 1892, it has been preserved as a single-family residence and is one of the oldest structures in the area, listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance.
