Casa Laporta

Casa Laporta is a historic private building located in the heart of Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, renowned for being one of the first examples of Art Nouveau architecture in the region. Designed by architect Timoteo Briet Montaud in 1904, this charming structure showcases the distinctive features of early 20th-century Valencian Art Nouveau. The building, commissioned by José Laporta Valor, brother of painter Francisco Laporta Valor, is a small residential space with intricate interior wall paintings that await restoration. Visitors can also explore the nearby garage, built in 1905 by the same architect, further highlighting the architectural significance of this site in introducing the Art Nouveau movement to Alcoy.
