Olson Building

The Olson Building, also known as Block 11A or 29 Mount Sophia, is a historic structure located on the former campus of the Methodist Girls' School in Singapore. Completed in 1928 and designed by architect Frank Wilmin Brewer, it features a high-pitched roof, elegant masonry corbels, and unique cross-ventilation elements, making it well-suited for the tropical climate. Originally housing classrooms and a laboratory, the building has been preserved as the only structure from the campus to be gazetted for conservation due to its architectural significance. After a renovation in 2007, it was integrated into the Sophia Hills condominium complex as a clubhouse, showcasing its historical charm amidst modern developments.
