LaGrange (Cambridge, Maryland)

LaGrange, also known as La Grange Plantation or Meredith House, is a historic home in Cambridge, Maryland, built around 1760. This 2+1⁄2-story Flemish bond brick house is one of the few remaining Georgian structures in the area. The property features several outbuildings, including a late 19th-century dairy and an 18th-century smokehouse. Owned by the Dorchester County Historical Society, LaGrange operates as a museum showcasing local history, agriculture, and antique tools. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and local heritage.
