Project Row Houses

Project Row Houses is a community-based arts and cultural organization in Houston's Third Ward, founded in 1993 by artist Rick Lowe and collaborators. It began by renovating nineteen shotgun houses into art spaces, residences, and community programs focused on art, history, and social change. The project is internationally recognized for combining contemporary art practice with neighborhood revitalization and social services. It continues to present exhibitions, artist residencies, and educational programming on site.
