Washington Monument observation deck

The Washington Monument is a 555-foot-tall obelisk on the National Mall that contains an enclosed observation deck near the top accessible by elevator. The monument is managed by the National Park Service and reopened to visitors on May 12, 2019 after an extended period of repair and modernization. Visitors pass through security screening at the base before ascending to the observation level for views across the city and memorials.
