Colorado State Capitol

The Colorado State Capitol in Denver is the seat of the Colorado General Assembly and houses the offices of the governor and other statewide officials. While the building is open for public tours and legislative sessions, many internal offices, administrative areas and certain wings require staff credentials or escort for access. Security screening and controlled entry points are used for official events and to protect restricted areas such as legislative staff suites and archives. The Capitol also stores governmental records and artifacts that are maintained under restricted-access policies.
