The Bay Lights - Leo Villareal LED Bridge Sculpture

The Bay Lights is a large-scale LED light installation on the western span of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge created by artist Leo Villareal and first illuminated in 2013. The dynamic, pixel-based display was described at installation as the largest LED light sculpture in the world and was later reinstalled as a long-term public artwork after a successful fundraising campaign. The artwork is visible from multiple Embarcadero viewing points and is a site-specific light sculpture that engages the Bay Bridge's structure and nighttime skyline.
