Dawson Building

The Dawson Building, also known as the Eagles Home, is a historic commercial structure located in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Built in 1896 in the Classical Revival style, it features a striking octagonal turret. Originally constructed for a local grocer, it later became the property of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in 1923. Recognized for its historical significance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is part of the Acushnet Heights Historic District. Today, it has been transformed into affordable housing, offering a glimpse into the architectural heritage of the area.
