2006 WSOP Main Event field at the Rio

The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event, held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, drew 8,773 entrants. That field size was among the largest in WSOP history at the time and reflected rapid growth in tournament poker following the 2003 Main Event. The Rio hosted the WSOP annually from 2005 through 2021.
