Sherman Tavern

The Sherman Tavern, located near Sherman, Kentucky, is a historic site built around 1840 and recognized on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. This tavern is a notable example of Greek Revival architecture, featuring a recessed pedimented porch. It served as a significant stop along the Lexington-Covington Road, one of Kentucky's earliest macadamized roads. The property originally included 10 slave cabins, which have since been removed, adding to its historical significance.
