Hendren Building

The Hendren Building, located in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a historic commercial structure built in 1946, showcasing Streamline Moderne architecture. Designed by architect T. Charles Gaastra, it reflects the post-war boom in automobile-oriented commercial development. Originally commissioned by local grocery store owner J.L. Hendren to serve the growing community, the building housed various businesses, including doctors' offices and a pharmacy. It was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1999 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The V-shaped design features horizontal lines and a rounded corner entrance, making it a notable landmark in the area.
